I totally forgot about it being a Friday in Lent. I heated up a cup of hot chocolate, and I decided it'd better to drink it than throw it out when it hit me what day it was.

I remember one time when I ate meat on a Friday in Lent. It was a couple of years ago. My dad, who's Protestant and doesn't observe anything Lenten (I'm a convert to Catholicism) made these outrageously great Italian meat balls on a Friday in Lent. I decided to break the rules and eat the meatballs. I jokingly asked my parents not to call the Vatican. They didn't. Everything was OK.
