my cats do this all the time. one of my cats is the absolute worst, she'll steal the food off your plate (like the whole thing) and run across the room with it.

Chloe is the worst, especially at the table...she always bugs us when we eat. She will stretch up and wrap her paw around your wrist, yanking on it to try to get food.
