I will be in Vegas this week. The group that organized the meeting is putting us up at the Excalibur. Does this place have any redeeming features??

Cheesy is a good way to describe it...and throw in a bunch of unruly kids running around the place like maniacs and there you have it.

So far, I've found only one redeeming feature of the Excalibur - it has a Krispy Kreme.

Undoubtedly, it will be call "Ye Olde Krispy Kreme Shoppe"

I couldn't have described it better myself.

Las Vegas seems like a nightmare of commercialism. You can have it.

And if I remember it correctly - it wasn't a "full" Krispy Kreme - it was just a stand. I was bummed....I was going to bring Krispy Kreme's to the folks in the GA line ( :sexywink: Sicy and Angel and LMPA and HelloAngel and, well, not diamond).

there are actually PEOPLE who live in las vegas, can you imagine that?
we have families and libraries and great museums and galleries.
we have churches and schools and parks and a nice university.
we even have a beautiful lake where people boat and fish and swim.

the las vegas area is HUGE and there is much, much more to it than gambling.
i can have it, you say? thank you. thank you very much. i'll take it.

now, about the excalibur. yes, it is family oriented, perhaps if you'd like a different environment, you might consider staying elsewhere. people like myself who have children however, find it to be a delightful place to spend time with our families.

you will probably only find children in the midway/arcade area since no one under the age of 21 is allowed in the casino area.
