it's official # another blanket

I recently finished a baby blanket. I got bored with no project so now I'm making another baby blanket. When I'm through the blankets will be given to the Elizabeth Ministry at my church, which is a ministry that helps needy mothers.

That is very cool, verte. My grandmother used to knit blankets, booties and knit caps for newborns for the hospital where she volunteered.

Yeah, I'm knitting. I'm just doing a simple garter stitch because I suck at counting stitches.

My mom's friend knitted a baby blanket for her when she was pregnant with my sister. My sister never used the blanket, for whatever reason, so it became my baby blanket when I was born. I'm 24 years old, and I still sleep with it. I even take it with me if I go out of town. It's one of my most cherished possessions.

Just think...one of those blankets you made could bring years of happiness to someone.
