Jello recipe of the day:

CARROT CABBAGE JELLO SALAD

3 oz. pkg. lemon Jello
1 c. boiling water
3 tbsp. sugar
1 c. cold water
2 tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1 c. grated raw carrots
1 c. shredded raw cabbage

Prepare Jello in boiling water and stir in sugar. Add cold water, vinegar and salt. Chill; when slightly thickened fold in carrots and cabbage. Chill until firm.

Just call me the Martha Stewart of IO!

Chopped nuts Blend pineapple baby food cream cheese sugar and jello in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil. Cool. Transfer to jello mold or other serving container. Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Makes a 9x13 pan so is great for a large group.

Oh no problem PopAngel friend, as a peace offering, this resipe is from page 39 - yes, more fun with Lemon Jello:

SALMON DILL MOUSSE
2 (3 oz.) pkgs. or 1 (6 oz.) pkg. lemon Jello gelatin
2 c. boiling water
1 c. cold water
3 tbsp. lemon juice
1 (1 lb.) can pink salmon, drained & flaked
1/2 c. sour cream
1/4 c. mayonnaise
2 tbsp. onion, minced
1 1/2 tsp. dillweed

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Add cold water and lemon juice. Chill until thickened. Mix salmon with remaining ingredients. Blend into thickened gelatin. Pour into an 8 x 4 inch loaf pan. Chill until firm, about 4 hours. Unmold. Garnish with dill and thinly sliced cucumber if desired. Makes 5 1/3 cups or 6 to 8 servings.
