those wax statutes freak me out, even when they're not in a nativity scene.

I'm sure that the choices for wisemen will go over big! Good thing this wasn't posted in FYM.

[q]Celebrity Nativity Causes Uproar
December 8, 2004

DAVID BECKHAM as Joseph and his wife VICTORIA as the Virgin Mary ... it's an image that's causing quite a stir among church leaders of the world today. The British soccer superstar and the former "Posh Spice" are just two of the wax statues in a controversial new nativity scene at MADAME TUSSAUD's Wax Museum in London. The exhibit depicts several famous celebrities as biblical characters, including SAMUEL L. JACKSON and HUGH GRANT as shepherds, singer KYLIE MINOGUE as an angel and even President GEORGE W. BUSH as one of the Three Wise Men. Vatican and church officials are reportedly calling the display cheap, pathetic and in bad taste. A spokesperson for the famous Beckham couple was quoted as saying the two had no knowledge of plans to depict them in the exhibit. [/q]

They could have dressed them all up as Father Christmas, Mrs Christmas, and some elves and kept Christ right out of Christmas instead.
