Well, I was compelled to ask



I only really know one, and I wonder if it is a native to this region. It must be in other places, too.


But my favorite, by far, is the morning dove
Such a soothing sound



I don't know anything else....
Just one bird call.

But whatever

That's the best time to hear them, after you've been up all night.

I also like doves the ones at the sea.. not necessarily the morning dove. I like when theyre shrieking..

also I like the birds in spring; cookoos, hm generally all birds.

did you know there are scientific papers on this? a musicologist recorded the sounds of birds (already 70 yrs ago) and found out that they really sing melodies comparable to ours, just a lot faster - they got certain tunes and songs.

a very interesting bird-voice I have copied out of the archive is the voice of an African bird who is believed to be a ghost of the ancestors. He really talks, with emotions like a human. Its amazing to hear that.
