The only piece of news I have heard about in the last two days is some baseball player throwing some old guy down.

Weak Tropical Storm Mindy Threatens Bahamas

MIAMI - The Bahamian government posted storm warnings last week as Tropical Storm Mindy formed in the Atlantic Ocean off the northeast tip of the Dominican Republic. Mindy was a weak tropical storm with sustained winds of 40 mph, just over the threshold to become a named storm.


It was expected to curve northwest and then northeast during the weekend, sweeping over the Turks and Caicos Islands and the southeastern Bahamas. At 5 p.m. EDT, the storm was centered about 250 miles southeast of Grand Turk Island, near latitude 19.2 north, longitude 69 west, and was moving northwest at 12 mph. Forecasters at the U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami described it as "not very impressive" and said only modest strengthening was expected.
A tropical storm warning was in effect for the southeastern Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos, alerting residents in the sparsely populated islands to expect storm conditions within 24 hours.

The storm brought heavy rain to Puerto Rico and the eastern Dominican Republic last week, forecasters said.

On Saturday, it was really windy and rainy ... I thought it was a tropical storm ... but then I remembered I live in Wisconsin
