I don't like it. How much longer does it take to type out " " instead of "lol"? And really, it prevents you from looking like a myspace-frequenting kindergartener.

There are two exceptions:

1. If there are no smilies available

and

2. If you're typing out ROLFOLOL!!!OLL instead of :lmao: for humor purposes.

[/rant]

I don't like the  guy though. To me lol is more like a :chuckle: or a quick way of saying, "I know, right?"

If something strikes me as funny, I go with :lmao: Which, I might add, I enunciate as El Mao, like "Mao" Tse Tung.

Actually, the  guy looks more he's saying "ahhh" during a tonsil check.

Yeah. Lollerskates is OK.

I dont know brother, but typing out lol is just completely different from posting a smilie.

to me I think lol is sorta less funnier, and you can continue a sentence after it.... i sfunny, and stands on its own
like, lol, but blah blah blah

luckily I think they left. It was either me or them :D

There used to be a few posters around here that would use lol to end every sentence. Not the smilie: lol.

I truly wanted to KILL THEM!
