I am about to run some errands (to exchange my shoes) and my 4-year old daughter tells me she needs new shoes.

"Why do you need new shoes?" I ask.

"Because my shoes give me patches," she replies

"Patches?" Not understanding 4-year old speak, I find the nearest translator - my wife.

What are "patches"?

Blisters. Her shoes give her blisters.



We got her some new shoes. No patches.

My first pair of shoes were red and I called them scrubble shoes, I also had a fit if there were any shoes in my room when I was sleeping so every night I would search my room for shoes, my parents used to hide them in different places because apparently my reaction to finding them was amusing.

Yeah I used to wear these cowboy boots when I was 5. I used to get blisters all the time but I insisted in still wearing them. LOL My mom had to steal them and said that the cat next door needed them

She really hates pain medicine though. She took half a vicodin last night and was loopy (more so than usual I tell her ) this morning.
