chicken feet

go to a Chinese dim-sum restaurant in the afternoon... when a cart passes by with what looks like chicken feet... order it.

how the Chinese eat chicken feet, is basically they suck the skin off the feet and spit out the bones... the taste of chicken feet skin is ... of course, it's cooked pretty oily and spicy... and it's a Chinese delicacy. it's one of my parents' favorite Chinese delicacies from dim sum meals.

i can honestly say i will never eat anything that resembles, or IS chicken feet. yes, my fear of the unknown, plus the thought that whomever cooks it might not have cleaned them properly is going to deny me of an oft declared delicacy.
it is not common fare around these parts.
