So I just got word that I am being promoted to a better and bigger store. I am leaving the OC in a couple of weeks and going to a place 20 mins from Palm Springs.

I am happy and sad at the same time, the relationships I have created at my present job will be missed, but I am looking forward to my new crew.
This also opens up an opportunity for my Assistant Store Manager and hopefully he will get a chance to interview for my old position. I tried really hard in helping him get ready for this, I hope that he gets it.

I'm gonna miss Orange County.

I once interviewed a gal who crashed alontg the 215 (means nothing to this but...) she lived in Temecula and worked at the Maidenform outlet storel...I questioned her about the LONG drive and she said it was a breeze!

Using the same general starting point, I mapquest' it and came up with - from Tem. to Cabazon (via the 79) 1 hour and 58 miles...

Tem. to Orange 54 minutes and 54 miles...

You'll live!
