IO: I am the most boring person alive.

I'm young, single, have friends, and got off work at 6 p.m. I have a free Saturday night. Do I get ready for a hot date? Get together with friends for a night on the town? Fire up the grill, invite some people over and watch some basketball?

Nope. The second I was off the clock, all I thought to myself was, "Thank God; now I can go home, sit on my ass and watch figure skating." And that's what I've done. It's pretty sad, really. Does anyone else do this with their free time? I'm so tired of school and work that I really don't have the energy to do anything useful when I do have some time to myself -- I chill out, watch the History Channel, surf the 'net, and generally hole up in my room. I feel like I should pick up an abusive boyfriend or a nasty drug habit or something, because I'm in danger of being the oldest 24 year-old on the planet.

Homebodies of the world, unite! Or at least let me know I'm not alone here.

Tonight is the "biggest party of the year" at school and I'm surfing interference, making playlists, and studying.

Your not alone and if thats what you want to do then do it and enjoy your free time. When you become a wife and a mom if you plan to that free time comes in spurts so enjoy it now while you can.

(I'm not saying that marraige and motherhood are bad cause they're really good.)

The highlight of my week is Friday night dinner at my Mum & Dads. I go there, eat tea, watch the telly, listen to my Mum go on about people I don't know and then come home. Don't tell me I'm not a wild child people.

Wooo! Chillin' with the parents!

And must say, it's refreshing to hear someone say that they actually, y'know, like their parents and enjoy hanging out with them. Sometimes I felt like I was the only person who did (and I never went through the "surly teenager" phase, either, so I've always gotten along with them.)

I was in bed @ 8:30 tonight.

Of course, living such a nonstop action packed lifestyle like I do leaves a man tired at the end of the day.

Last night, Friday, I spent from 9.30-10.30 on the phone with my dad - and he had me in hysterics. Tonight I had friends over, and 3 of them left for the bar at 11.30, leaving me & P to our own devices till now. We even called her husband so he wasn't worried - he sadly assured us he wasn't worried!!.

You are not alone

I usually go to my mom's place on the weekend, where I watch TV and go on the internets. that's pretty much all i do. I think I win for most boring.

though I did just go to a concert in Chicago with friends...sometimes I actually do things im going to go to parties and be dumb in college because i've spent my entire high school avoiding it. I've never gotten drunk or high or fucked a random guy or anything. that shit doesnt interest me at all. but i don't want to go through college having done nothing "exciting"

But yeah, to sum it up, I'm pretty boring, and I get along fabulously with my parents. I'm living with my mom for the first year of college! Laughable i know, but it saves me money

Welcome to my world

Last night I crawled in bed at around 7:30-8:00pm-ish, and I could have passed out for a while. I woke up disoriented at about 8:30pm, not knowing if I ate dinner or what day it was, and too tired to get out of bed. I'm on medication, so hubby went & brought it to me, and I laid back down and watched more TV. Just chilled

I use my dogs as an excuse to get out going anywhere.

"I can't go, I have to go home and let my dogs out."

"Well, my dogs have been alone all day, so they are lonely and will want company."

"My dogs need to eat dinner, so I better go home."

I mean, yeah, those things are true...but I like having them as excuses.

I rarely go out. I go home from work and put on pajamas. I just like being at home with my boyfriend and dogs. I used to have really bad social anxiety where I hated leaving the house for anything. I'm not as bad anymore, but I still just like being home. I actually went to a PartyLite party one of my co-workers was hosting last week, and I think jaws dropped when I walked in. They were shocked I actually came. It was fun, but I spent way too much on candles.

Nothing laughable about that -- a lot of students do that (myself included ).

Beat this folks. Sometimes on a Sunday morning my Dad will call me to tell me that he & Mum are going to Big W. Probably kind of like Walmart? I cannot get there fast enough. We spend all day wandering around the shops and generally having a ball. Is this a strange thing for a 29 year old married girl to do?

I spent much of the gorgeous day (I did go outside for a few hours though!) inside yesterday, playing my gameboy

I've temporarily taken up residence at the library.

10 - 5 on Saturday at the library. Rest of the evening working on an essay.
Got up at 12 on Sunday and was in the library from 1 until 9 working on the essay.
Had a nap, worked some more, had a snooze and was at the library for 8.30 this morning to work on the essay.

I'm just exhausted now so I'll probably have a nap and do some work for a presentation I have tomorrow. 7.30 go to dance class with the sister. Come home, feel like death, read over more stuff for the presentation. Fall asleep, get up and go to library for 8.30 in the morning again.

3 more essay titles are coming out this Wednesday so I'm sure the Easter break will be a riot.

Hell no!!! We do that! We love it. Some Saturdays we go on a family outing to what we call 'A Big Dub trip' The husband and I think this is thrilling because chances are we will end up with at least one new (and cheap) dvd and countless other 'things'. It's such a great shop for 'stuff'. And they have the self serve that still gives me a kick, even though something always goes wrong each time we pay, like the scale won't recognise the item is in the 'checking area' and so on.

BEG I know you're dying to know how boring I am (because you have no life like that) so here goes:
-I have 3 piles of 'to read' books, each about 2 feet tall, which is about 6 feet of books in total I am slowly getting through.
-I read statistics and information on other countries very often.
-I read about other countries justice systems when ever I get time. I read more than is necessary for uni (studying criminology and justice), and I enjoy it.
-I spend Sunday afternoons cooking roasts for dinner (because we are old fashioned and boring).
-We got those books 1001 Albums you must own before you die and 1001 Movies you must see before you die and I plan to get the book one too, and we are seriously contemplating comparing what we have to what is in the list, and seeing what we'd like of what is missing.
-We go to house auctions out of sheer rubber-neck'ery. We like to and guess who the buyer will end up being from the crowd gathered.
-We are both obssessed with the weather. All of it. Rain, clouds, the heat, the humidity. I even got chatting to a man walking past who enquired why I was taking photos of the storm which was rolling in a few weeks ago who's daughter is a meteorologist. Meteorology is like porn to me.

Can I stop now? I don't want to keep going.
