Zoo Dublin 93

Yup , I'm full of questions this week , now this one is a quick one , don't worry , folks the zooropa dublin concert , the so famous last one of the zooropa leg got a radio broadcast this everybody knows , but did it also had a TV broadcast ? Can u confirm that this show had a PRO filming and all , coz I've read somewhere it was shown on TV.

It wasn't shown on TV. I don't think it was even filmed for broadcast.

Suposedly U2 has filmed every performance since Joshua Tree tour or something.

Don't known about pro-shot (though David's right---the rumor is that they've filmed every show since UF or JT or something like that)....but I do know that there's a fan-shot video out there.

Yep there is and I have it. Widely available torrent which has the official radio broadcast sound with it as well. Pretty good bootleg to have.

how good is the quality of the video? i know the radio broadcast was top notch, great show. last time a variety of songs were ever played live.

They filmed ALOT of the third leg of Joshua Tree (for Rattle And Hum) but not much of the first and second legs. Not all of Lovetown was filmed either. Any shows they used a stadium set up with a screen there is a pro shot of and they obviously filmed the final three Sydney shows on Lovetown. They also filmed the New Years Eve show in Dublin. Starting with Zoo there is supposedly a pro shot of just about every single show. Footage is probably pretty raw though for the most part as it would simply be the video camera feeds. They simply archive it like they do the audio.

Now there are soundboard audio recordings of just about every single U2 show since 1982. Imagine getting your hands on all of that!
