Edge;s riff at the beginning of the 'solo' bit used to underlay the chorus, and it sounded so much better.
Yeah for sure.

Yup. This is really bad. The end of each chorus just peters out.
After 3 minutes, it's a different song entirely.
A copy and pasted mess of a song(s).
Ah well guess will be giving this place a miss again for a bit, kills all positivity towards the new album [emoji106]
I'm not a "usual suspect".
I'm actually quite irritated by this song.
Perhaps the song's problems can be summarised in one lyric: "the best thing to ever happen a boy".
If you can't even get the lyric to fit the melody and just randomly cut one word to force it in, then there are clearly bigger problems too.

I need to listed to this more than 1x but my very first impression:
Not good.
Ax is right, it's all over the place and sounds almost like a jam session there is so much going on. I really liked the Blackout after the first listen and there were elements of that tune that kept me going back to it but this....I didn't get that feeling of "I need more".
I'll listen to this all day and by the end of the day I should have a proper assessment.
