i think the "let it go, and so to fade away...I'm wide awake..." part in 'bad' is a chorus. it repeats, it comes after the verses, the song builds to it..

No I think it is a climax, but not a chorus.

I feel choruses need a more down beat lyric and melody before stepping up, whilst in Bad whe song rises to this point gradually before dropping back down sharply straight after.

Its tough to describe in words.
