You have to admit, 'Drops of Jupiter' is a good song

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

I gotta have a soft spot for a song that mentions soy latte.

I suppose others might hate it for the same reason.

I don't care U2 didn't win, but if that song was the best 2001 had to offer it would have been a very, very, VERY sad year for music

it's beyond horrible

I didn't mean you, dear Salome. You're always fair and not one to go for the kneejerk reaction.

Eh, I don't think the song is so bad--I'm kind of indifferent about it. I agree it's not anywhere near the best thing I heard all year, but the song just doesn't generate any intense feelings in me one way or the other. I just think there are too many bands that all sound the same, and I would put Train in that category. That's the main reason I don't get why it won--I don't hate it, but it's nothing special.

I didn't think you meant me, but I just had to post again about how bad that song is (

)

it's so bland that it's just not funny anymore

"You must not look down on someone just 'cos they are 14 years old. When I was that age I listened to the music of John Lennon and it changed my way of seeing things, so I'm just glad that 14 year olds are coming to see U2 rather than group X." - Bono, 1988
