xmas video help

hey i bought Pogues live VHS video from AmazonUK. But im in US and video doesnt play right. AmazonUK didnt say anything about this. Anyone know away to convert this vodeo or get it to play here in US. Its Xmas present for my brother.

Sorry buddy, but you got to get the tape copied over from PAL to NTSC. It can be done, but it's expensive. Look around in the yellow pages.

the video is in PAL format. That's pretty much the European standard, except for France (the use SECAM, I think). Unfortunately, the US uses the NTSC video standard.

You have 2 options, as far as I see it. First, find the video in NTSC format. Second, you could buy a VCR that plays both PAL and NTSC. They're fairly commmon, just a little more expensive. Not bad, though.
