What will be the fan club renewal give-away?

For the giveaway for renewing your membership, last year it was the audio version of the Zoo TV dvd, but would they do the audio of Popmart dvd since they already released Hasta Las Vista Baby years ago, or something else altogether?

A signed copy of the apology letter Larry Mullen, Jr. wrote when they screwed up the online tickets situation.

Well, according to a friend who just subscribed, it is the Pop audio. She thought it said the DVD but I told her it was probably the audio so we will see when it comes in.

What will you get? A lower bank balance. All of their special offers have been laughable.

That would be better than last year's giveaway, because at least you don't already own the kick on DVD and could easily rip it to audio.

U2 3D audio? You mean of something we don't already have, to whet our appetites for an upcoming release?

That's far too sensible for U2.com.

Punched in the neck!

A complete Popmart cd seems realistic. A part of me hopes we get something related to the Joshua Tree anniversary.

They did it before with U2.Communication. That featured some audio of the Vertigo Milan show that didn't get to DVD until a year later. And oh, it had a video of Vertigo too that didn't appear on the DVD at all.

Now that I've read the thread about the upcoming The Joshua Tree 20th Anniversary Edition (http://forum.interference.com/t180041.html) I also hope for the audio of the Paris concert they're including in that package.

Sure, it had a few songs we didn't end up getting, but it also had stuff anybody who can type "rip audio from DVD" into Google could have easily extracted from the Chicago DVD or even already had on CD in the case of Miss Sarajevo. So U2 Communication remains a complete slap in the face.
