What tracks should have been on 80-90?

The tracklist disappoints me... while it is pretty good, it has more potential than just singles, if that's what they were going for

1. 11 O'Clock Tick Tock
2. I Will Follow
3. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
4. Bad
5. Where The Streets Have No Name
6. New Year's Day
7. Pride (In The Name Of Love)
8. Out Of Control
9. Desire
10. Bullet The Blue Sky
11. Sunday Bloody Sunday
12. The Unforgettable Fire
13. Angel Of Harlem
14. With Or Without You
15. 40
BONUS TRACK: MLK

the amount of hot singles U2 had in the 80's was staggering
it would have been nice had they been able to put some other songs on the cd too, but a cd can only hold so much music

Nuts as in "this song blows my mind, it's nuts"

or nuts as in "this song blows my nuts, it sucks"?

I love it myself....

How on earth do you know? Did you just phone Bono and ask him?

Hell, they must've liked it to some degree given that they chose to play it live.

Yeah, Ax's is right. I think the music went in a different direction and they had to leave "Womanfish" behind. If they didn't think it had potential, then why play it live?

People who buy compilations like this are waiting for the big hits, plus the videos they watched a few times in VH1, this or that mythical song that played on radio as a promo for whatever reason.
So, I think that the 80-90 best of shoud be composed of:

1. Where the streets have no name (single version)
2. I will follow
3. New Year's Day (edit)
4. Pride (In the name of love)
5. With or without you
6. I still haven't found what I'm looking for
7. Sunday bloody Sunday
8. Bad (edit)
9. The unforgettable fire
10. Gloria (edit)
11. *
12. *
13. Desire
14. When love comes to town
15. Angel of Harlem
16. All I want is you
17. '40' (live)

here there are several options:
- 11 o'clock tick tock, that was one of them 1st singles, turned more popular for its live version on the 83 EP
- Bullet the blue sky, that never failed a tour and was played in radios at the time
- In God's country, don't know what happens in the rest of the world, but I can listen to it in the radio sometimes
- Out of control, a real fan favourite between the early songs

Gloria, Out of Control, 11 O'Clock Tick Tock, and Running to Stand Still should've most definitely been there.

I love When Love Comes to Town, but there are too many RaH tracks on there, and not enough early '80s tracks.

Add Gloria & Two Hearts Beat As One. Omit Sweetest Thing Single Mix because the longer mix is on the B-sides & rarities disc & include the short single version of All I Want Is You.
To be honest I only bought this album because of the B-sides & Rarities disc (you need this double CD version). That is a really cool disc. I esp. like Dancing Barefoot (Patti Smith cover) & Endless Deep.

I still don't believe that they left Out Of COntrol and Gloria out... As for the others I would do some changes but these two I just don't understand.
