Heartland
Hawkmoon 269
So Cruel
Dirty Day

One

It deserves even more recognition.

This has made a lot of people very angry, and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Hrmmm.. though not my entire list of picks, here's some:

EP & America
Red Hill Mining Town
So Cruel
Like A Song
Drowning Man
Seconds
Acrobat

I forgot
The Ground Beneath Her Feet

Classic U2 song that deserves much more recognition than it has got. The problem is that it is only a bonus track on the UK version of ATYCLB so not everyone has heard it.

Hmmm...

Running to stand still

Heartland

Love rescue me

So cruel (but then again, it's my fave U2 song)

Babyface

Gone

Wild honey (anybody got a problem with that?)

Drowning Man
Red Hill Mining Town

Wild Irish Rose (I feel you bono-vox. this definitely should have been a b-side)

Plus:

Electric Co.
A Sort of Homecoming
Trip Through Your Wires
God Part II
Wake Up Dead Man
When I Look at the World
Slow Dancing

Damn. That's a lot of songs. Huh.

Yes, I agree. Not helping its cause is the fact that Salman Rushdie wrote the words (which I love btw) and that the band never plays the full-blown version of the song live. I mean, whatever happened to "my oh my, my oh my, let me rescue you..."

------------------
"And you'll be standing there, while the boats go by
While the boats go by on a Friday evening
Shining your light, shining your light on a Friday evening
Got to slip away, got to slip away down that ancient highway
In a town called Paradise, in a town, in a town
All along, all along that road, all along that road
All along that road with the trancelike vision..."

Drowning man- if not for the emotion in Bono's voice

Surrender- I love everything about this song and in my subjective opinion it should of been number one everywhere in the world, no seriously it is a very good song

Heartland- Probably the best song of Rattle, I really love the brooding feel to this song and the lyrics, it should of been the next All I want is you.......

Gone- I can never understand why this song was not released as a single from Pop, I cringe everytime I think of Disco and realise that they released that song when they could of put out this gem of a song, like what were they thinking?????

I'd have to agree with everyone I think. So many good songs! Wild Irish Rose probably tps the list, though. Nobody knows about it and it's really good. Maybe one day it will make it on a B-side. Maybe.

my picks

Love Comes Tumbing
When I Look at the World
Do You Feel Loved
Boomerang II
Indian Summer Sky
Tomorrow
Drowning Man

k

Acrobat - Really powerful song!! It is one of my top u2 song about all time, and love the lyrics, about how you should express your feelings, even if the majority of the people think they are wrong, and without letting those people affect you.

Another great song without recognition is the ground beneath her feet, one of the best outros ever!!!

one tree hill
a day without me
out of control
scarlet
electric co.
please (single version)
the fly
running to stand still
red hill
i also think they should do something about the early recorcdings that have surfaced on bootlegs. they should bring an EP out with those.
