I'm really feeling "blah" right now. I'm sure you all know that feeling.. not depressed, not excited, just "blah". and it's really annoying. So what music should i listen to to make me hyper? any other suggestions of things to do?

tick tock tick tock tick tock

Buy or download the Strokes album "Is This It" Great songs to get you out of the blues. I especially like "Barely Legal", "Last Nite", "Someday", "Modern Age" and "Hard to Explain."

They fucking rock!!!!

and if that doesn't hype you up try...

White Zombie - Thunderkiss '65
White Zombie - Soul Crusher
White Zombie - Welcome to Planet Mother****er

I'm starting to feel a little better now

I listened to most of the Gorillaz album. Now i'm listening to a techno remix of auld lang syne.
but then i will go back to listening to the songs i have to paint for art.. probably lots of please and running to stand still. that'll bum me right out again lol.

Skeek, you of course know my poor taste in music. Thus, I give you my list of songs to break a blah mood and turn it into either a lust for destruction or some sort of non blah mood ie crazy.

Start with heavier stuff:

Break Stuff - Limp Bizkit (yes they suck so shut up)

Fuel - Metallica

Whiskey in the Jar - Metallica

Die Die Die My Darling - Metallica

We're Not Gonna Take It - Twisted Sister (or a cover, esp Less Then Jake)

Sugar In Your Gas Tank - Less Then Jake (I dont know, I downloaded this, so it may not be the right title, but assuming it is, it kicks ass)

American Badass - Kid Rock

Break the trend by snapping yourself into a new mood with:
Love Shack - B52s (YOU HEARD ME! dont you dare laugh LOL
tongue.gif
)

Heros - The Wallflowers (I like it better than the Bowie version)

You should be all set, it works for me!

What are you doing here? I thought you were supposed to be at your cottage!

Skeek, you need to listen to more music that involves white males with hair longer than Moby that don't play synths.

You need some good low-brow metal in your life, don't ignore me...unleash the metal-fan within.

moby does speed metal with no synths!!! he just plays all the instruments..

Wish - Nine Inch Nails

Again - Alice in Chains

Serve the Servants - Nirvana

Alive - Pearl Jam

Outshined - Soundgarden

Welcome to the Jungle/ Oh My God - Guns N' Roses

Firestarter - Prodigy

Du Hast - Rammstein

Seek and Destroy/ Don't Tread on Me - Metallica

Surprise, You're Dead! - Faith No More

Stop - Jane's Addiction

Block Rockin' Beats - Chemical Brothers

"We're Not Gonna Take It - Twisted Sister"

Right on! That song is great!!

How's about Bohemian Rhapsody, by Queen?
Thunderstruck, AC/DC
Paradise City, G&R
Satisfaction, Rolling Stones

There's a bizarre lack of U2 songs here. How about Until the End of the World? That does it for me. And Mysterious Ways.

Other artists? The Song Remains the Same by Led Zeppelin is pretty amazing, so is Over the Hills and Far Away, not to speak of Misty Mountain Hop.

I have so neglected my Zep lately, I feel bad now...

Love is the heartbeat of the universe

Hmm...I always thought it was the obvious, "Elevation." =P Or Discotheque...and The Fly...and Streets... for me. As for other artists...uhm...there's other music in the world besides U2???? Wha???? LOL j/k...try "Down with the Sickness" by Disturbed. It is a very messed up, disturbed song that will keep you wondering what the heck the "W-a-a-a-a" is for. As stated before, "Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns N' Roses is a good one...my personal favorite though is "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana.

To get pumped, I really dig on:

"Born Slippy" - Underworld
"Pure Morning" - Placebo
"Break on Through" - Doors
"Long Snake Moan" - PJ Harvey
"I Feel You" - Depeche Mode

~~~All I got is a red guitar, some Boards and my youth.~~~
Well,
Mysterious Ways - always works for me Whiskey in the Jar - (live-versions are the best)
Under Pressure - Queen and Bowie
Changes - Bowie
When spirits are calling my name - Roger Pontare (I?m kind of surprised U.S haven?t discover that song yet, after the terrorattacks etc)
Or just any ABBA song
Or, watch the video to "I give my life" by the swedish group "Army of Lovers", haha.
Well we don?t need no one to tell us what to do
Oh yes we?re on our own and there?s nothing you can do
So we don?t need no one like you, to tell us what to do!!!
We don?t refer to the past when showing what we?ve done
Our generation gap means the war is never won
The past is in your head, the futures in our hands
Cos I?m a brat!!!
And I know everything
And I talk back!!!
cos I?m not listening
To ANNNNY THING you say
And if you count to 3
1!
2!
3!
You?ll see it?s no emergency
You?ll see I?m not the enemy
Just a Prisoner of Society
Sociei ei ei ei eteeeeeeeehhhhh!!!!!!!
Gosh I love Jane's Addiction- they were such a great band and The Living End- well they are one of the best Aussie bands that are about at the moment, very cool indeed and such great energy..........now speaking of U2 I just love SURRENDER- one of my fave songs ever, I just love Edge's gutar in that song, beautiful
smile.gif
and at the moment I am really loving a song called 'Always' by a British band called 'Bent'- they have a bit of a dancey/ambient kind of feel to them, very chilled kind of music
smile.gif
As for U2 songs, I like listening to "Elevation", "Discotheque", "Mofo", "Streets", "Desire", and "EBTTRT".
For non-U2...well...I love "You Spin Me" by Dead or Alive (don't laugh! That is classic 80's!!!).
