Everywhere you go yo shout it,
You don´t have to be shy about it.

Beneath the noise, below the din,
I hear your voice, it's whispering
In science and in medicine,
"I was a stranger; you took me in."

And you speak...
of signs and wonders
But I need...
something other

If you shout... said:
Not quite from the album, but I CANNOT shake it...

"Love puts the blue back in my eye."

yes, I absolutely LOVE that lyric..

the whole chorus from Mercy is amazing

LIsten to me now, i need to let you know, you don't have to go it alone.......... not really because of the words but the delivery is amazing

For some reason, the following has engraved itself into my head. I'm not even sure why, since LAPOE isn't my favorite song (I do love it, but I'd expect lyrics from OOTS or SYCMIOYO to be stuck in my head instead).

I don’t know if I can take it
I’m not easy on my knees
Here’s my heart you can break it

I need some release, release, release

We need
Love and peace
Love and peace

And it's you when i look in the mirror
And it's you when i don't pick up the phone....

I can't get this out of my head. Sooooo beautiful!

Currently?

"Yahweh! YahWEH!"

Simple, but beautiful. I think Bono's delivery makes most of his best lines. You can hear the emotion in his voice in this track, as he calls out to God. Really great stuff.

The album is a gem from start to finish.

One part I like is in COBL

"I'm getting ready to leave the ground" The the bass line does an ascending line to the chorus.

So very U2

"where you live should not decide whether you live or whether you die".

and

"take this hands , teach them what to carry
take this hands, don't make a fist"

"this love is like a drop in the ocean"

and

"...could never take the chance of losing love to find romance..."

A house still doesnt make a home
dont leave me here alone

Every time i hear this i get tears in my eyes.. its really beatiful:)

And you speak
Of signs and wonders
But I need
Something other
I would believe
If I was able
But I'm waiting on the crumbs
From your table

Maybe my favourite part of the whole album... Such amazing lyrics, and a beautiful melody. The perfect chorus. People have said that Crumbs is about the AIDS crisis, and of course there are obvious references to it, but I think it's more generally about the rich countries relationship with the Third World.

Only Bono can express such complex ideas in such a simple, direct, and emotional way.

"All I want is a picture of you,
all I want is to get right next to you,
All I want is your face in a locket, picture in my pocket,
I take a pill to stop it..."

from "Fast Cars".
