I definitely don't pay attention to other bands's drummers as much - he seems to create someting unique and different for each song. And he can do so many varied sounds with his drums: from various effects, to consistent grooves, to fast beats, to loud, desicive rhythms, to slow, soft drumming. And with all due respect to the other 3, it feels like he leads the band in some songs and takes over.
Here's my list of favorite Larry songs (it's really hard to pick, as i don't dislike any of his drumming):
Sunday bloody sunday
Pride
Bad
Where the streets have no name
With or without you
Running to stand still
Angel of Harlem
Heartland
Zoo station
Light my way
Tryin't to throw your arms around the world
So cruel
Love is blindness
Stay
Babyface
Please
Discotheque
Elevation
In a little while
Wild honey
When i look at the world
New York
and B-sides:
Hold on to love
Always
Unchained melody
ps: My favorite album when it comes to Larry- it's a tie between AB and ATYCLB.
