What is the litmus test necessary to be considered a "GOOD" U2 Fan?

I am very sincere in this question.

In recent months it has become apparent that there are some in here who feel that there are certain standards to being a U2 fan.

What is required in your mind to be a "GOOD" fan?

To be a good U2 fan you need to ignore the fact that Bono is very cheesy.

How dreadful. Hope there isn't anyone who thinks that. But I see what you mean, actually.
U2 fans should include, not exclude. It's all about the music and the ideas behind it.
But you should like the music ... that is maybe the only requirement

I think the biggest factor is actually knowing what a litmus is. Then, and only then, can you be a real U2 fan!

Definitely the music, but I'm not content with just that--I gotta love the man behind the words, the voice, the shades, oh the lovely man, blue eyes, strong hands...

Oh. sorry. wrong forum.

Um, the music. yea, that's it.

This entire idea of a 'good' fan is just plain bollocks. Whatever happened to simply enjoying the music?

"Who buys U2 records anyway? It's just music for plumbers and bricklayers. Bono, what a slob. You'd think with all that climbing about he does, he'd look real fit and that. But he's real fat, y'know. Reminds me of a soddin' mountain goat."
"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."

Hi!

To be a good U2 fan....one must like all things U2......

Now....your next level to attain.....is the ultimate ... "a devoted U2 fan"...and that is difficult to achieve.

PS: I have not yet myself attained that most preciousness of U2 fan-ness.

...this and not being an a**hole to other fans, no matter how many shows they've seen (or not) and no matter when they became fans. If they're a fan, they get it, and that's all that matters. We're all kindred spirits, here.
