What is Bono singing during the opera part of Hands That Built America?

i couldnt believe it when i found out it was him. i thought it was pavorati or something.

Maybe something like this:

Of all of the promises, is this one we could keep
Of all of the dreams, is this one still out of reach

Halle, ole
Dream-oh, Lord oh no/Lord (?):hmm:

It is so beautiful...

It starts "Halle, Halle" (Halleluiah?) but no audible words later. Just some random wailing that sounded nice.

:madwife: Beverly, just joking

I've wondered if he was saying anything in that part of the song too (he sounds like a native american indian in that song to me) but thought it was just noises, sorta like the noises in electrical storm (but I guess he's really saying something there) and on the slane castle dvd
I love it when he does that

I like this song! it's beautful.
but I don't think Bono is singing any words really in that part of the song.. but maybe he do.

i believe the exact verse is

heeeeeeeeooooooooooommmaaannnaoooooy

woooooooahwooahwoooooahhhhh

weeeeeeeeeeohhhhhhhhbaaabaaaaaa
Hmm, could be, excellent lyrics.

I quite like the song, not my favourite one, but not bad either.

I like the lyrics better than the song.

It's early fall
There's a cloud on the NY skyline
Innocence
Dragged across a yellow line

Reminds me of 9/11.

In any case, I don't like the recorded version at all, which is way overproduced with all those strings sawing away.

But I did like the version Bono sang in the pouring rain at the Clinton Library dedication with Edge on piano. That was enough of an arrangement for me.
