What is Bono singing during the opera part of Hands That Built America?

I don't get why anyone wouldn't like this song. It's incredible.

Bono's random wailing......always:drool: I know, it is a sickness we Bonolovers have, what can I say. That's part of his appeal and beauty.

Listened to this song couple of months ago, and other b sides a bunch of times. didn't care for it that much at first, but it grows on you. It is soulful and moving. If you appreciate Bono's tenor voice, you will love it. and it goes with the movie. and we who love that voice do not compare it to Pavarotti. that wouldn't be fair to either of them. I draw and paint, but I am not Picasso.

The song is quite forgettable, cause I've heard it probably a dozen times here and there but I don't remember how it goes.

it's a great song
My family immigrated from Ireland, so it's very moving to me.
It conjurs up so many images....
I have the words printed out and framed with old family photos from New York. One of my great Uncles worked on the Flat Iron building in NYC! :) We really did build America

I don't understand why so many U2 fans hate this song :|
Cos it's a "meh" song. Doesn't do anything, go anywhere (and I'm sitting here racking my brain and I can't remember it either).

Whatever floats your boat.
