What is Bono saying in "Bullet" on the DVD?

probably "Mark Chapman" as it's what he said in all the other shows when he did that particular rant. Name of the guy who killed John Lennon, I believe.

And yes, I'm aware that he/she has probably been around, but I dont' have time to mess with the multiple handle schizophrenia that plagues this forum. I just look at the post count. lol.

Just a few days ago I tried to transcribe it.. it's basically:

.....
Bullet the blue
Bullet the blue

What a whole lotta love?

This guy comes up to me see
His face red like a rose on a thorn bush
Like all the colors of a royal flush
And he's peeling off those dollar bills
Slapping them down right there in the Wal-Mart
Slapping ?em right down
One hundred, two hundred
Three hundred, that?s all? that?s all..

And I can feel the cold steel
I can feel the cold steel
And I can make a wound that won?t heal
I can make a wound that won?t heal
38 millimetres, like the police
I?m at the door with John and Yoko living love and peace
And love and peace and love and peace feel like an old tune
A rerelease soon to be deceased

Pull the trigger rock and roll ******, he?s bigger than Jesus on a bumper sticker
Pull the trigger on the rock and roll ******, bigger than Jesus on a bumper sticker
My pulse is racing, my eyes are chasing, for an autograph I?ve been waiting
?????, There?s no escaping, history is taping
Hey John, war is over we don?t need your help, America?s making war on itself
Hey John, war is over we don?t need your help, America?s making war on itself
676,000 will go down in the streets of America with a bullet in the next 20 years
20 years these bitter tears, in a business of bitter tears
John?
Full body bags like Vietnam
What?s my name?
Mark Chapman!
What?s my name
Mark chapman
Mark chapman
Mark chapman
Mark chapman

And we run
Into the arms of America.

????? = "Beatle-mania"

I believe.

Nice job, SkeeK. I definitely like it, though most regular fans probably have no idea what it's all about. I think it's some pretty good improv.

Thanks for the info SkeeK. Now Christmas feels like two months away.

The idiot who put the DVD on his Christmas wish list. What was I thinking!?! That is a WHOLE month away!

Don't worry. I'm not referring to anyone in here. I'm talking about people who aren't into the politics so much. It's a bit hard to figure out what Bono is saying, and the actual meaning may have been lost on a lot of people who watched it.

Or maybe not...

Just some slight editing on a nice job of the transcription. The missing part is "people baiting", and I believe it's "more bodybags than vietnam" instead of "full bodybags like vietnam"

The best version of Bullet ever IMO, righ tdown to john's glasses on the video wall at the end of the song.

Bullet the Blue Sky, at least the rant part, is from the 06-05 show.

I was just listening to the mp3 to check the lyrics, and it's different
