It's fine as a single, but it's not a definitive collection song by any means. It's really not smart at all. Make it 18 actual hits if that's what you're going for, leave the Saints and new song as singles only.

Well, look at it this way: There's a first for everything, right?

so that someday Green Day AND U2 can BOTH have the same song on their respective greatest hits.

Just like U2 and BB King.

I believe that it was only in the U2.com blurb that the word 'definitive' was used, and we all know how reliable they are.

Fine. I have no problem with it, as a) it's a good song; and b) it's a new song that will be on an official album, rather than just a download.

There. Happy now?

The same reason THTBA were on 1990-2000-----to advertise the song & what the song's for (in THTBA's case, a movie)---only TSAC is for a much better cause.

a) shouldn't u2 only include the good songs that they actually wrote themselves on a best of compilation?

b) isn't it coming out as a single? If ya want cd-quality, you can just buy the single.

there there. im still not happy.
