I realise that for some people one and the same album can be a favourite in all three categories, anyway, here are my picks:

VOCALLY:
Favourite: ATYCLB - I just can't describe how much I love Bono's aged voice and it's soul-stirring richness.

Honourable mention: JT - has some of Bono's best 80s era singing.

Least favourite: Achtung Baby - I'm probably in minority here, but I feel like Bono's raping his voice on this record. It sounds like it's being strangled out of his throat and that croaking extra-nasally singing completely ruins half of the songs for me.

(Dis)honourable mention: War - WAY too much banshee wailing.

MUSICALLY:
Favourite: JT - absolutely gooooooorgeous.

Honourable mention: October - lush and beautiful. Piano bits are just pure yumminess.

Least favourite: War

LYRICALLY:
Favourite: Achtung Baby

Honourable mention: POP

Least favourite: October - Ok, maybe it's unfair to kick it because many of the lyrics had to be improvised, but...

vocally:
ATYCLB. totally agree-Bono sounds great-on one hand his voice is getting raspy (BD ending, Always chorus, IALW) on the other hand it sounds incredibly clear (Stuck), groovy (Elevation), soft (Walk on, WILATW), playful&happy (Wild honey), emotional (POE), and lots of interesting details are to be found in his voice in Grace and New York. and let's not forget the power in Kite.

Least favorite: first three U2 albums. all that screaming.

Honorable mention: UF, JT and AB.

Musically:
ATYCLB. 11 different melodies. it is amazing to see how much different things U2 can do musically on one album.
also, AB. Edge is just unbelievable here.

Honorable mention: JT.

Least favorite: the first 2 albums.

Lyrically: depends on what i'm looking at. ATYCLB, because it touches me more than any other U2 album.
AB because it is so different from the lyrics Bono wrote in the past. and it also touches me a lot in some moments.

Honorable mention: JT. richness of the language is fascinating.

Least favorite: i dunno. i don't think i have a least favorite album as far as lyrics are concerned.
