I'm not a huge fan of this song, but I can't deny it's appeal when heard while being completely smashed. I heard it at a club recently and it was really funny seeing juiceheads singing along to it. You also don't mind the "hola's" when you're inebriated to the point of silliness. Cuz that's what it is really. A stupid, silly drinking song. Taking it seriously is the wrong way to go about it. When listened to properly tho it's a great drinking anthem on par with other classics like "shook me all night long" and "come on eileen".
 
My sister works in a factory, and she said another worker there would randomly yell out, "Hello, hello!!!!", and she'd yell, "Hola!" back. :lol:
 
Well Bono did say the "uno, dos, tres, catorce" line might have involved some drinking, so maybe you're on to something.
