welcome to the site, VERTIGO is great, Ive heard it about 10,343 times now and its still an exciting listen.
it's a fun, in your face song with some great vocals and guitars. I think the lyrics are great, their not Bono's deepest, but are they supposed to be with this kind of "first single, radio-friendly" song? I hate sometimes how people get on about lyrics, take Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song." It's incredible (I just got into Led recently because their before my time), the guitar and music is absolutely amazing. However, have you heard the lyrics to it?? God, its about Vikings or something, the lyrics are totally cheesy. It's just that Plant has such great vocals and range it doesnt really matter, I think Bono is likewase, an amazing singer, and I think the vocals on "Vertigo" are very good.
