U2's New York on CNN

Its like the usual stuff with clips of events in chronological order.I think they've done a good job of mixing the visuals as it fits mood of the song.It emphasises more on the character of the city rather than the greatest US tragedy.The most moving part comes in the "in the stillness...." segment of the song,as everyone is holding the candles.

Pretty touching I have to say.

Does it bother anyone else that they are using U2 songs to play as backdrops to this stuff?

I for one was so disturbed by the Peace on Earth remix with all the screaming and sirens and hysterical newscasters and other stuff in the background that I couldn't even listen to it!

I just think it's a shame that we have to turn this into some mass media event with music scores. Blah.
