U2's Mysterious Ways vs. Peter Gabriel's Sledgehammer

Hey now! I really like this song too and I love the video. If nothing else, this video easily beats the vast majority of U2's videos (I think most of us agree that U2 aren't spectacular in that area, barring some exceptions - it seems that when U2 get it right, it's spectacular!).

However, I do concur - why compare these two songs? Ah well.
 
I have nothing against Sledgehammer; it's a good tune, but no match for MW.

I thought shart1780 was comparing the videos...:|
 
I love Sledgehammer - both the song and the video.

I think both songs are sexy, both rhythmically and lyrically, so it's not a crazy comparison at all

I like Mysterious Ways better, but it's mainly because I think it has better lyrics. Sledgehammer is just a bunch of double entredes, but Mysterious Ways is more subtle in its sexiness and has a spiritual meaning to it.
