The Fly
Was in my local shopping centre recently when I noticed an Oxfam display. Had been considering a monthly commitment for a while so went over and got the spiel from the young guy there. In the back of my mind I knew I was going to be a bit tight on money for a while but really wanted to sign up, so I asked when would the first payment be due. Came the reply "10th May". Oh I said that's it I will have to sign up now that is a significant date to me (was a bit nervous about bringing up the fact it was Bono's b'day in case he thought I was a bit "nuts", ) anyway when he asked why I just blurted it out and was pleasantly surprised when for the next 15 mins we had a fantastic conversation about all the good work Bono does and he relived the joy and excitement of the concert in Perth he had attended (much to my great jealousy!). I walked away with a huge smile on my face thinking "Bono, you've done it again"!
