during a show on the news channel msnbc they played u2. they were showing relief efforts in new orleans and they ended the show with a music video featuring the u2 song "love rescue me" while showing all the various resucue efforts taking place in the south. it was very very moving. i have a cousin in new orleans and he asked me to make him some u2 cds. so i thought i would just share what i just witnessed on tv.

hrm. i wonder if they'd ever do that song live again. it sounded great on the Lovetown tour (here comes Axver), but everything sounded great on that tour.

As much as I think LRM was great on Lovetown, it's honestly my least favourite song on that tour.

I heard they played "Love Rescue Me" at the end of a Dateline (or was it Primetime live?) show segment about Katrina a couple of weeks ago, too.

One of the most touchingly beautiful songs ever written....
