From looking at the TV listings online, it appears the segment U2 will be on does indeed start in (just under) 45 minutes. It looks like they aren't actually on Dick Clark's special.

When they will be on though...I'm not sure.

No I'm not lying.

It's hosted by Peter Jennings and starts at 5:30 central time. As for when U2 performs, I'm not sure.

I'm also not sure whether U2 will be playing live or if it was taped. If it was taped though, we probably would know what they're playing by now. So we'll see!

ABC 2002 will feature New Year's Eve celebrations from across the globe from such locations as London, Rio de Janeiro, Capetown, Moscow and Jerusalem. The show will also include performances from some of the world's top musical artists, including Sting and U2.

Oh they probably are using U2 to keep us tuned in, shows will do that, play with you by announcing someone really good not coming on for a long time so you won't switch channels. It happens all the time. Still, I'm leaving the VCR running just in case

it was all the same until the part when bono jumped up on the heart ramp, and they started showing shots of edge's ass, well really taken behind larry, so you see them from a different angle. then at the end you see larry twirl his stick, which they also don't show on the dvd. i wonder why!
