ok here are the rules:
i will name a song such as "the elctric co." and then the next person says what they think the best live version of the song is. and then after you name your favorite live version state another u2 song, and then the next person will state there favorite live version of that song, and keep going.

lets see how long we can keep this going.

here we go!

THE ELECTRIC CO.
DORTMUND-UNFORGETTABLE FIRE TOUR.

ALL I WANT IS YOU?

I'm partial to the All I Want is You live from Mexico City on PopMart Tour where Bono sings (rather SCREAMS) a snipet of Never Tear Us Apart, for the late great Michael Hutchinson.

Next tune: The Fly - anyone?

The Fly-- Pittsburgh Elevation Tour----That was a bitching performance. Edge was amazing and the whole thing was so energetic.

Next: With or Without You

Joshua Tree Tour Los Angeles, November 18, 1987

-Bono jokes that the band doesn't know how to "party"
-While Edge plays that dumb little solo, Bono calls him "Eddie van Halen"
-Ali comes out and Bono does that champagne thing
-oh yeah and during the very next song, Stand By Me, when Bono sings "No I wont be afraid" he hiccups and its pretty funny

ok, um....

One Tree Hill

26 December 1989! I'm listening to it now! One of the best live performances of any song, ever.

New Year's Day?

1. Denver 1987, Bono recalling the RR show during the piano solo
1a. london 82. Only a partial performance, but the only time I've heard Bono sing the bridge.

Help

26 December 1989, again. I love that William Wordsworth quote at the start (Resolution And Independence is my favourite poem).

Elevation?

11 June 1992, Stockholm. Absolutely amazing and so powerful.

In God's Country?

August 28, 1993, Dublin, with "Help" played right before the song. Perfect!

11 O'Clock Tick Tock (and please dont say red rocks it isnt the best!)

Oh come on. 5 June 1983's only competition for the title of Best Of 11 O'clock Tick Tock is 4 November 1981 where they play the second riff twice. Really, I think I know this one considering I'm the self-proclaimed 11 O'clock Tick Tock lover/expert/fanatic.

--- Back to the game ---

The Unforgettable Fire - lately I've fallen for 9 May 1987, Hartford

When Love Comes To Town?

Adelaide. I've just forgotten the date. 16 November 1993? I think that's it.

Trip Through Your Wires?

i love the adelaide version of lemon. i love that entire concert!!!!!

trip through your wires - denver colorado 1987 i love how bono mentions he wrote it with frank sinatra in mind but he couldnt play the harmonica.

staring at the sun?
