Don't open with "Streets." It's a much more powerful song near the end of a set.

i do agree, i just dont want to put all the greatest hits on the last cd. i love zoo station and may decide to put that as the opener but do you think it would sound good with out of control as the second song?

I think so, but I like contrasts in my mixes.

Here are my suggestions:

The band plays I Will Follow and New Years Day as the #2 song a lot in shows. I would put them as #2.

How can you not have 40?

You have to add it as the last song of the last disc.

I would add Exit.

I would get rid of Miss Sarajevo.

I would use the ZOOTV order of Bullet, Running, and Streets as I think they sound the best that way witht teh helicopter sounds during the beginning of Running...

Looks good tho

what versions of these songs should i play?

streets - boston 2001, love town 12-26-89
sunday bloody sunday - rattle and hum or elevation version?
i will follow
until the end of the world
new years day

Lovetown Streets
Elevation version of SBS
Chicago 1988 version of I Will Follow
Dublin 1993 version of Until the End of the World (one of the greatest U2 song performances ever done, and certainly of this song)
Probably a lovetown version of New Year's Day

I suggest Unforgettable Fire from Chicago 1988. Great rendition.

The version they did on New Year's Day 1990 is a good choice. :)

And for the love of God, use the Rattle and Hum version of "Sunday, Bloody Sunday" and not a boring Elevation performance. The version recorded in Denver in '87 has a genuine urgency and anger in it; it was recorded while Bono was feeling exactly what the song was written about. The Elevation versions sounded tired and forced and went on for way longer than they were interesting. They should've retired the song in 1998.

there is that boot of
U2 and Bruce Springsteen singing Stand by me
If you find that one.. put it in there!! It is :censored: awesome.. trust me!!! :hyper:

well, I know you can find it on Kazaa (I got it tere) but the quality is not the best.. yet it is awesome

if you can, put Love is blindness in there.. it is good

and Whose gonna ride your wild horses I'd leave out, instead putting th eSydney popmart version of Daddy'S gonna pay for your crashed car :)

starting song.. hmm.. something rockin' for sure

Hm, tm, km, km might b enice too as an opening

but as said, zoostation is a great opening too

I opened my live compilation with God Pt.II from Dublin 12/26/89 and followed it with Elevation from Irving Plaza. I only put together a 2 disc set(got a family that keeps me busy!) Here's my track listing, if anyone's interested.

Kite(Boston DVD)
Gone(Boston DVD)
New York(Irving Plaza)
I Will Follow(Irving Plaza)
Two Hearts Beat As One(Red Rocks)
New Year's Day(Red Rocks)
Sunday Bloody Sunday(Boston DVD)
One Tree Hill(Dublin 12/26/89)
Angel Of Harlem(S.Bend 10/10/01)
Disc 2
One(Irving Plaza)
Bad(Santiago 2/11/98)- I know it's shortened, but Bono voice is so strong on this performance
Running To Stand Still(Stockholm 92)
Streets Have No Name(Stockholm 92)
The Fly(Boston DVD)
Bullet The Blue Sky(Boston DVD)
MLK(R & Hum)
With Or Without You(R & Hum)

Gloria(Dortmund 1984)
40(Dortmund 1984
I open for opinions or criticism.

The Gone from Boston is very good. Another good Gone is from Sarajevo in '97, it's the tune he blew his voice out on, and it's awesome.

IWF-I like the Irving Plaza version.

ISHFWILF-I'd go w/ a Love Town, JT tour performance.

AIWIY-Again, the Lovetown performances were perfect, but the Elevation versions are good as well.

i just got back from being out of town, taking the day off from looking for a job and i am going to do this live compilation. i dont know if i need anything. maybe just send me 6 blank discs.
