Someone just called (a pr person)me to tell me u2 is playing at the grand opening of the Apple Store (the old walgreens) on Chesnut Street today in San Francisco (No Time). Told him it sounds pretty far fetched, rarely does the entire band do these things when they are "off" (especially larry). I havent paid to much attention to there comings or goings recently. Anyone know anything?

Ie should I take the day off work or not?

Not trying to start a nutty rumor, but trying to figure out if I am out of the loop.

I second the opinions before me.

Someone posted in PLEBA that their friend saw and met Larry at HQ yesterday.

And why would u2 play at the opening of an Apple Store?
As if it won't be busy enough there on Black Friday.

Don't get me wrong, I would love for it to be true and would be driving up from SJ to SF in a heart beat.

What was this pr persons (of what company? Apple?) reply, when you told him it sounded far fetched?

Any word on a 4th of July snippet?

Better than that, they played the whole song.

They performed the greatest set list ever (however, some of the speeches were unnecessary) but the 4hr30min concert was incredible:

Mercy
Lady with the Spinning Head/The Fly (Mixed together)
*Bono Speech*
Where The Streets Have No Name (The Eargasm Mix)
Acrobat (Played twice, will never play again)
*Bono Speech*
Miracle Drug (snippet)
*Bono Speech*
4th of July
*Bono Speech*
*Adam says a word*
Wave Of Sorrow
Luminous Times
Bad

Encore 1:
The Whole New Album In Progress incl. Passengers II (Eno stopped by too)
14-minute Jam
"40"

Encore 2:
Smile
Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own
*Bono Speech*
and closed fittingly with, you guessed it,
Exit (Extended 24 minute version)
