Okay, here's what it is. I love making mix CDs. I make them as gifts for people, as well as collections for my personal use. For example, today I made two: a "hyper mix" to take to the gym, and a "Tuesday Night Music Mix" (quiet songs) for vaguely sad chillout purposes.

I don't think I have ever, once, made a mix CD without a U2 song on it. U2 just have so many different songs for so many different moods, you can find room for a U2 song on any possible mix CD.

Because it's late and I'm bored, here are the track lists:

Tuesday Night Music Mix

1.) "Bad Reputation" Freedy Johnston
2.) "Come Calling (His Song)" Cowboy Junkies
3.) "Don't Know Why" Norah Jones
4.) "Black Balloon" Goo Goo Dolls
5.) "All You Want" Dido
6.) "I Want Love" Elton John
7.) "Lose Your Way" Sophie B. Hawkins
8.) "Missing (original mix)" Everything but the Girl
9.) "Ride it On" Mazzy Star
10.) "Flinch" Alanis Morissette
11.) "I Know What Kind of Love This Is" Dar Williams and Lucy Kaplansky
12.) "Stay (Faraway So Close)" U2
13.) "Asleep" the Smiths
14.) "Strange Currencies" R.E.M.
15.) "Blackbird" the Beatles
16.) "Harbour" Moby f. Sinead O'Connor

Hyper Mix

1.) "Celebrity Skin" Hole
2.) "Song 2" Blur
3.) "Slide" Goo Goo Dolls
4.) "Falling for the First Time" Barenaked Ladies
5.) "Blitzkrieg Bop" the Ramones
6.) "I'm Like a Bird" Nelly Furtado
7.) "Brown-Eyed Girl" Everclear
8.) "Seven Wonders" Fleetwood Mac
9.) "Clumsy Lover" Seven Nations
10.) "Start the Commotion" Wise Guys
11.) "Rebel Yell" Billy Idol
12.) "Fat Bottomed Girls" Queen
13.) "Born to Run" Bruce Springsteen
14.) "Elevation (TOMB RAIDER remix)" U2
15.) "Survivor" Destiny's Child

So...anyone else always sneaking U2 songs onto their mix CDs? Come now, fess up. ;)

I purposely leave U2 off. I listen to them so much as it is. Plus, for me, it's tough to hear a u2 song, and then not hear another. It's like an addiction or something...:D

Me too!

I always put a U2 song on every mix cd I make. It's insane. I'm also addicting to making mix cds, especially for other people. So, if they don't like that one U2 song on it, they're shit out of luck!

:macdevil:

I want that hyper mix cd!!!!

I have about 7 Laras Compilation Cd's and there is only a u2 song in one of them its slow dancing- i try NOT to put U2 songs on them and be good :D but some of them are llike classical and dance music so uh u2 doesnt fit in there lol

i always try to avoid putting u2 on my mix CDs.. unless the CD is specifically all U2, or the song is only vaguely U2 (like say Craig Armstong's Stay)
