Simply put, this is a 12 album NCAA style bracket tournament to find out which U2 Album is the best. Albums were given rankings in advance based on number of copies sold, with the one exception being ATYCLB, which was given a higher ranking due to it's popularity among fans.

The first part of the first round happens to be U2's most popular album versus their least popular. It's up to you to choose the victor.

Here's the Bracket:

(1) The Joshua Tree
vs.
(12) Pop

(6) The Unforgettable Fire
vs.
(7) Under A Blood Red Sky
---------------------------------

(2) Achtung Baby
vs.
(11) Boy

(5) War
vs.
(8) The B-Sides (1980-1990)

---------------------------------

(3) All That You Can't Leave Behind
vs.
(10) October

(4) Rattle and Hum
vs.
(9) Zooropa

*The Joshua Tree

*The Unforgettable Fire

*Achtung Baby

*War

*ATYCLB

*Zooropa

breaks my heart to see October go
in another match up it would have had a chance

here're my choices...

(1) The Joshua Tree

(6) The Unforgettable Fire

(2) Achtung Baby

(5) War

(3) All That You Can't Leave Behind

(9) Zooropa

*The Joshua Tree

*The Unforgettable Fire

*Achtung Baby

*B-Sides

*ATYCLB

*Zooropa

pop got screwed...

1. JT
2. UF
3. AB
4. War
5. ATYCLB (I love October, but it is just too uneven compared to ATYCLB)
6. R&H (Although it breaks my heart to vote against Zooropa)

My vote goes to POP. I know JT is supposed to be this great masterpiece and all, and while I do agree that it's good, I'm not really as into it as I feel like we're supposed to be. *shrugs*

Wait a second...Isn't October their least popular album?

I dont get how you can or why you'd want to compare U2 albums.

Each broke new ground at the time they were released. Each did things in music and exhibited sounds in music that had never been heard before at the time.
