They needed about 8 more shows in answer to the first question.
In answer to second question, I'm not sure, but if the shows in February were included, then you'd have to include another Rolling Stones tour and the Eagle's reunion tour as tours that are ahead of the Elevation tour. So that would be 3 tours all of them grossing around 120 million that would be ahead. The Rolling Stone tour and Eagles tour not mentioned were cut in half by the end of the year. Each half appearing in diferent year Eagles(1994-1995) Rolling Stones(1997-1998).
Also, U2 does not have plans at the moment to tour the USA in February. The earliest I could see U2 back in the USA would be some time in 2003. U2 does plan a June/July/August tour of Europe.
