Am I allowed to :lmao: at mentions of In A Little While? Ah well, too late for asking, I just did it anyway.

As long as I can :lmao: at you for somehow not getting one of the greatest U2 songs.

Quite a challenge.

1. Electrical Storm (single version) - Best U2 single ever.
2. Crumbs From Your Table - You know why.
3. Fast Cars/Vertigo/New York. Probably Vertigo.

City of Blinding Lights
Walk On
Sometimes You Can't Make it on Your Own

Honorable Mentions: Fast Cars, Beautiful Day, Crumbs from Your Table

1. Electrical Storm
2. The Ground Beneath Her Feet
3. Mercy

Now if a U2 album had all of this on it, it would automatically be great.

No easily, but they are:

1. City of Blinding Lights(most moving and inspirational song since "Streets".
2. Walk On-it became an American anthem and deservedly so.
3. Electrical Storm-vastly vastly underated and a shame it's nver been played live.

If we're talking official releases...

1. Love And Peace Or Else
2. City Of Blinding Lights
3. When I Look At The World

Unofficial:

1. Smile
2. Mercy
3. Flower Child

You may be wondering about the last one...well, the way I see it, in terms of happy poppy acoustic music, Flower Child is SO much better than Wild Honey. It's just fun to sing and play guitar to. Not the greatest song ever, of course, but I don't mind it.

Compiled from everything...official, unofficial, cell phones, whatthefuckever:

1) "Mercy"
2) "Kite"
3) "Smile"

But "Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own" is close. Close, though, doesn't cut it. That's my list and I'm stickin' to it. Holla.

1. Walk On
2. Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own
3. Beautfiul Day

very tuff to choose.............bd/city/love and peace were tuff to choose between but i went with one of the songs that has always stuck with me and i believe its a great u2 song

Love And Peace Or Else
City Of Blinding Lights
Electrical Storm ("b-side" version -- not the William Orbit mix)

 what... yesterday by the beatles?

This is a toughie! esp. if we're gonna include unreleased/bonus tracks!

1. The Ground Beneath Her Feet
2. Mercy
3. Stateless/Walk On

If it's strictly album tracks...

LYRICALLY
1. Walk On
2. Miracle Drug
3. Peace On Earth

MUSICALLY
1. City Of Blinding Lights
2. Walk On
3. Beautiful Day

Yes, I cheated and got a lot more songs in. ;)

It boggles my mind that people list B-sides and rarities here. Not that there's anything wrong with them, but it's still really surprising that such rabid U2 fans would choose songs that the BAND doesn't even think deserve to be chosen to put on albums, much less released as singles.

I guess it shows there's nothing more subjective than artistic taste!
