The word "SEXY".
Where did this come from?

With me it all started about 18 yrs. ago.
It is not an 'original' word. It was swiped from the movie "Purple Rain". The movie starred Prince, Apolonia and Morris Day.
The movie is a decent movie, worth watching, has a decent sound track and based loosely on Prince's life until that time period..1984-85.

The Morris Day character used this term "sexy" frequrently when refering to his his attractive female friends and various women folk.. Sort of like Arun and his harem- jk. Anyway Morris Day played a flamboyuant, over the top, cocky,pimp/rockstar that thought he was "Gods Gift To Women." He was a parody of himself and also Prince's nemisis in the movie. They competed for women being the best band ect..
When Morris would talk to his bodyguard Jerome about his lady friends he would refer to the as his "sexies".
When one would scream at him in the movie he would say-"Now that is one angry sexy".
When he overbooked his dates for a night he would say-" I have too many sexies this evening".
Anyway so you get the picture.
Morris almost stole the show.
But in the end he turned out to be a fraud.

My friends back then got a kick out of Morris' antics . We incorporated Morris' lingo into our lingo. His words into our vocabulary. ALL IN FUN OF COURSE. And to be implemented only AT THE APPROPIATE TIMES.
Never at church.
Never in a court of law.
Never in a serious situation.
We would use it at-
a Madi Gra Festival
in a dance club
I think you people get the idea.

Alot of people in U2chat know where the 'sexy' jargon originated from.
People like Crazy For Bono and U2ME3,have giggled w/me privately..

Anyway if there is any of you female folk here that I have inadvertenly offended w/the unwise or untimely usage of this term I do apologize.

Hope this clarifies alot of issues or concerns..

ATTN MODS-

PLEASE LEAVE HERE IF PERMISSABLE.........

Thanks-
Diamond

In other words, the "old folks" (myself included).
