Great songs though

Actually, thats a pretty damn good list. Half my favourite songs are there.
I'd be choosing Last Goodbye by Jeff Buckley over Hallelujah, seeing as it was a cover.
I can think of better Chilli Peppers songs than Scar Tissue too.
I wanna be adored is my themesong

wow, it's hard to tell Dave is British
easily 5 songs by american bands/artists ending up in his top 50

What a horrible list. More than half the songs are from the last ten years.

"You gotta love living, baby, 'cause dyin's a pain in the ass."-- Frank Sinatra

Adam: Look guys, I got a Springfield spoon for my spoon collection.
Edge: Oh boy, here we go...
Bono: Wow, how many is that now Adam?
Adam: Nine. If I didn't have my spoons, I'd go insane.
Bono: Can I see it?
*adam gives bono the spoon, bono throws it away*
Adam: My spoon!

while I agree it's a great list, I think that Dave's listeners voted for many of the ATYCLB songs simply because they are current. There are a lot of other U2 songs I'd put before several of the ATYCLB songs that are listed...and personally, I wouldn't put either Beautiful Day or Stuck within the *top 50 best ever*, anyway....they're good but not that good.

Time of your life by Green Day even being ON this list???

Hey Jude is #23, but Nirvana is #3??

Hmmmm....this list might be very different in the U.S. but I think there has been a LOT of music put out that should go on this list that isn't...

Disco is right, the list is a bit too contemporary. Also where is his Bobness?

Jaysus, will some of ye calm down?!?!

It's only a list!!! And 1 which is put out EVERY year, so of course it is gonna be influenced by current releases, the reason I think it is so great is cos there is no shite in it like Robbie Williams or even worse. I think it's a great list, and shows the kinda music we like here in Ireland, besides feckin boybands!:p

Only 3 songs by The Beatles in top 50 songs EVER?

And no Yesterday?

Where's the Rolling Stones? Where's Bob Dylan?

This list is way too influenced by contemporary artists to be called Top 50 songs EVER.

Jaysus christ almighty! Will ya chill out?!?! Irish people, mostly about my age, around 15-25, who listen to this show, are asked each year to name their top 4 songs, top 4! Where's Rolling Stones? They wouldn't be in my top 2000, certainly not my top 4, and I am sure many irish youths feel the same, Dylan, I ain't a fan at all, I respect him, but nah, not that surprised he didn't make a big impact in a list voted by listeners to a CONTEMPORARY rock/indie show.

As I say, these are all GREAT tunes, and are the faves in the people in question's minds, there ya go.

It's not called the GREATEST 50 EVER! Read all the details, its annual! Enough already! it's just a list of great songs that I thought some of ye would be interested in
