So out of U2's vast library of songs and albums, which one song "has it all"? What I mean is, name ONE SONG which has absolutely melting vocals and heartbreaking lyrics from Bono, fantastic guitar work from Edge, a great bass line from Adam and awesome drumming from Larry?

You could name more than one song also.

For now, I'm gonna go with Streets. Halfway through Brian Eno's keyboards, Edge steps in with a throbbong guitar riff which gives the hint of something big, Adam suddenly bursts in from nowhere with his bass, Bono yells "I want to run..." while Larry slowly builds up his drum beat. Not only my favourite U2 song, but my favourite song ever!

It doesn't get any better than this. Beautiful lyrics and vocal. Best Edge solo ever. Wonderful bass line. Brilliant percussion. Beautiful piano and strings. This song has it all, and then some.

STREETSSS.

And if not streets, then probably either UTEOTW or One Tree Hill. Oh man, those songs just get me every time.

it's so hard to pick just one or two...i could probably name at least ten.

How about naming over 10 ... as I have 15 songs on my list ...

Gloria
New Year's Day
11 O'Clock Tick Tock
Pride (In The Name Of Love)
Bad
Where The Streets Have No Name
Until The End Of The World
Acrobat
Mofo
Gone
Beautiful Day
Walk On
New York
The Ground Beneath Her Feet
Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own

'Zooropa'
'Lemon'

these two songs are like Bowie's 'Ashes to Ashes'...EVERY bit of the song seems to fit no matter how different to the bit before was...they, like 'Ashes' are just PERFECT. They have it ALL.

Others-

Acrobat
One
Bad

With Or Wtihout You
Walk On
Crumbs From Your Table
Stay (Faraway, So Close)
Love Is Blindness
One

plus just about everything else!

Where the Streets Have No Name (probably tops the list)
Mofo
Sunday Bloody Sunday
The Fly
Gone
Until the End of the World
I Will Follow
Love and Peace or Else (live especially, Bono really goes all-out at the end)
Bad
With or Without You
Exit (not over-the-top vocals, but very creepy and fitting)
New Year's Day
Mercy
Miami (you all are just in denial...)

and probably every other U2 song ever.

Where The Streets Have No Name
Sunday Bloody Sunday
Bad
City Of Blinding Lights
Beautiful Day
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
