I love this thread, all this obsessive behaviour over Heartland makes me feel better about myself.

 Obsessive behaviour is my middlename.
3 hours and counting
I think I need a drink.

Best song on Rattle And Hum? It's a great song but I wouldn't say it's better than an epic ballad by the name of 'All I Want Is You'.

And Axver, are you really comparing COBL to the other songs you've mentioned? My god, COBL is fast becoming the most overrated U2 song ever.

50 minutes to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll listen to Heartland and report back.

EVERYONE listen to Heartland and report back!
(with what, I got no idea of, but just REPORT BACK)

 work is hectic and it has obviously affected my braincells.

Heartland is the best song on Rattle and Hum, no doubt about it. I don't really have anything else to say except, well, I absolutely love it.

I really don't see the big deal with Heartland. To me its pretty flat and monotone. The lyrics are very poetic in their description, but not some of Bono's best. And the vocals are decent, though I don't  when I here him sing heartland I actually cringe a little. I've always like God Pt. 2 better.

Aaaaaaaaaaah sweet sweet relief..........
A martini and HEARTLAND.....

Totally agree on the Adam & Larry-statement, by the way!

Heartland is so beautiful, one of my all time favourites. Was it ever explained why it wasn't included on the Joshua tree?
