Write your essay on Heartland instead.

YES I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE IT!!

WOW WHAT A SONG!

One of the greatest songs ever written
U2 at its best
What an amazing piece of art. Wonderful, brilliant, magnificent!

I love Heartland. It's the perfect example of U2 turning images into sound so well. Another perfect example on how everybody on the band makes a difference. Edge's subtle and dreamy guitars and his beautiful vocal harmonies are absolutely perfect. Bono grew a lot as a singer and as a lyricist in Rattle And Hum in my opinion, he does a terrific job on this song. The drums and the pulsating bassline create a great feeling as well that can be both eerie and soulful. The falsetto part is also amazing! I'm listening to this song right now.

This has turned into the single most ridiculous thread of all time on any forum of any website in the history of time.

Oh yeah... and Heartland is a pretty decent song.

Even if this thread fades away, Heartland will rock forever Aardvark747
This beautiful tune will trascend the test of time
It has already done it; its getting better with age
And that without being a live song

If the band plays it in this tour sometime, somewhere, well i think it will bring the house down
Those falsettos will shine!

"In this Heeeeeartland, heaven knows this is our land"

Wow, this thread's grown. It's good to know this song is loved. I put it onto a mix cd for my girlfriend.

I agree that it's loved universally, just not in this thread. Cos here it's mostly just 2 people.

I can't wait to go driving through heartland while playing Heartland with my girlfriend in June.

Heartland is timeless in its intense beauty. And if they played it live ... :faint: :combust: I think I'd die from pure joy.

One Tree Hill --> Yahweh (snippet) --> Heartland would kill me.

Oh great ocean, oh great sea
Run to the ocean, run to the sea ...
... see the sun rise over the ocean ...
... see the sun rise over her skin
Don't change it
See the sun rise over her skin
Dawn changes everything ...
