It's really very simple: The only song on Achtung Baby that even equals the 4 best songs on The Joshua Tree is 'One'. That small but often forgotten fact is too much for the rest of AB to overcome.

I completely disagree. In my opinion, Achtung Baby has 4 perfect songs. One, The Fly, Ultra Violet and Acrobat. Only With or Without You can get to the heights of these songs. And Bullet in its live rendition. But, then Mysterious Ways and Love is Blindness also get into that club of perfect AB songs. And, AB hasn't got a bad song. Trip Through Your Wires is a bad song.
So, ACHTUNG BABY.
